Frequently asked questions

How well does it handle hair and fine detail?
The bundled model is tuned for people, products and pets and generally handles hair, fur and edges well. Very busy backgrounds or low-resolution photos can produce softer edges.
What image formats can I upload?
JPG, PNG and WebP. The result is always a PNG with a real transparent background so you can drop it onto any color or scene.
Does the model download every time?
No. The model (~40 MB) is cached by your browser after the first use, so later cutouts start almost instantly.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Files are processed directly in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Nothing is uploaded to our servers, so your documents never leave your device.
Does it work on mobile?
